This is very truth.. I am sick and tired of all these activities on our streets.. I am tired of outsiders to look at Paterson as a dump.. Thanks for trying and for the effort to make a difference in our City.. I am a parent of a 16 yrs old daughter and i have to send her to school outside the city of Paterson because our schools are not safe..

I appreciate your efforts to make a difference in the community. I am not a 5th ward resident but my office is on Broadway (4th Ward) and I live in the 3rd Ward. I see all the difference amongst these wards and I am glad to hear that you have a plan and are urging others to get involved. Do you know if other council members have similar plans?

Hello Councilman Tavarez,

I commend you on your thorough research in relationship to the planters throughout the 5th ward. I remember your presentation, it was very well presented and I am surprised you have yet to receive an appropriate response (keyword appropriate). I am also aware of your continuous effort of engaging citizens and the administration to find solutions to the issues people in the 5th ward face. I think this is a great opportunity for you to engage your constituents to support you in this matter such as having each constituent call the Mayor individually to urge him to address these issues. However, I have to ask, what do you as an individual suggest would be an appropriate plan of action that the Mayor should take to address some of these issues you brought up? I understand it is his job to work on the issues, and I also understand you are looking to collaborate with the Mayor and Paterson to find a solution, but do you have a potential solution in mind? I think now is the time for people to step out with ideas and the best most effective ideas should be implemented upon approval of the City Council and the Mayor. So Ill reiterate, what is your plan that you wish Paterson and the Mayor to collaborate on?

Thank you for taking the initiative and a stand on the gang activities in the 5th ward, my parents resides within your ward and your work and efforts are greatly appreciated. We must keep our streets safe for ourselves and most importantly for our elderly family members.
